IMS 和 OKI，电线和插座

"IMS and OKI, the wire and the socket", 很好的一篇短文，描述了MIT OKI的发展状况，并解释了OSID的工作方式，尤其是对IMS DRI 的支持模型。Stephen Downes 还敦促OKI走向更加开放的协作过程。

IMS 这几年给我带来的不仅仅是全球学习技术的领先思想，而且还时时促发灵感。JJ是一个教育技术研究生，他的主题是可以度量的教学设计，所以我建议他去读IMS Learning Design 的规范，基本上可以解答他的很多迷惑。所以国内很多教育研究的低水平重复难题大体因为"Unconscious Incompetence"，需要更多融会贯通的国际互联。当然仅仅有Input还不够，也要学会Output.

Weblog: A Perfect Place for Student Writing

ebN上的最新Post，我支持其中的说法“帮助学生成为写作者是每个教师的责任”，其实PBL中很强调学生的写作，无论针对什么学科。物理老师、数学老师.....没有这样的责任吗？但是，在一种不完善的考试制度下，他们当然没有这样的义务。只好把这个重任交给语文老师，也必然会出现每年高考后全体中国人拿“新奇”作文来当作自我安慰的乐趣，只不过今年是“赤兔马”，明年是“猫头鹰”的不同而已。

I have been thinking about this article for the past week. While I certainly agree that it is the responsibility of every teacher to lead students in their struggle to become writers, that is just too simplistic of a statement to suit me... Yes, writing is fundamental! In the hands of good teachers, weblogs can be the gateway for teachers to give students ownership, a forum to discuss issues they care about, and an arena that has an audience that cares about what they are writing.
