“中国是目前MIT OCW点阅率最热烈的国家…”，这是Ilya的观察，我猜是人口和网民数量基数所产生的原因，当然也有OCW在大陆地区借助官方渠道宣传工作的直接影响，开放文化给我们带来的“访问”的机会，OCW的课程必然也有良好的影响。但是若达到OCW本质中所要产生的影响力，在短期内几乎不可能。Dick Yu所希望的“创立典范，来刺激其他大学也将有价值的教学内容放在网际网路上”会很难出现。除了难以效仿MIT的成本模型，在每个学校内部也需要克服巨大阻力来形成共识。
正好又和acer, ilya谈到MIT的课程汉化的问题，私下认为这个尝试很好，但是整体上还需要打磨。如果MIT没有提出良好的参与模式，想要在自由文化氛围中让这些课程都顺利高质量地成为国际版本肯定要走很多弯路，难点在于走哪条路线。和上面所说的理由类似，利用草根参与的方式是潮流，还有发动和维持系统的代价要考虑进去。Wikipedia的优势在于百科全书的可动态存在性，允许其永远处于Beta创作版，对于课程或者其他作品（图书）倒是要有更强的版本管理介入。
